Cakes & Class is an in-home bakery specializing in cakes and desserts for any occasion as well as group and individual classes in the comfort of your own home!
Kara Carril has over 10 years in the restaurant industry. She attended Johnson & Wales University and received three degrees: AS in Baking & Pastry Arts, BS in Baking & Pastry Arts, and a Certificate in French Pastry from Ecole Nationale Superieure de Patisserie in Yssingeaux, France.
Since moving to Tucson in 2012, Kara has worked as a pastry chef at such places as The Lodge at Ventana Canyon Golf and Raquet Club, Prep & Pastry, Desert Diamond Casino, and Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort. Kara is a stay-at-home-mom to Lincoln and is continuing her passion of making cakes and desserts for family and friends. Kara also enjoys teaching people her love of baking, whether in a one-on-one session or in a group with all of your close friends.
